About The Position
Monitor Technician functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and is responsible for cardiac monitor observation and reporting of cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated. The Monitor Technician will demonstrate knowledge appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Requirements
- High School Graduate
- 1 year Monitor Technician/ EMT/Paramedic/ Cardiovascular Technician (reading telemetry) experience
- BLS and successful completion of EKG class (in house class)
- Scores at least 90% on pre-employment EKG identification competency test
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician or Cardiovascular Technician program preferred.
