About The Position

As part of the operations system team, you will work with highly motivated engineers, experts, and innovators in the data center industry. The Monitoring, Analysis, Response and Communication (MARC) Technician will have a direct impact on the overall customer experience. The MARC Technician will have the ability to assist the MARC team, to design solutions for complex problems, to assist & manage outside contractors, be on call for emergencies, to handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet tough timelines. The MARC Technician will help develop and execute plans to establish and complete department goals. The MARC Technician will be responsible for the continuous remote monitoring of site conditions and triaging incoming alarms and incident alerts to establish a standardized response to critical issues across the portfolio. This role will also require the technician to assists MARC team and Management in providing both reactive and pro-active assistance to all operational facilities teams within the CyrusOne portfolio. The role has a direct impact on the sites, its productivity and operational success. We are seeking a MARC Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will support the strategic direction of facilities operations by assisting with incident management, monitoring critical infrastructure, and improving operational processes. They will work closely with facilities, engineering, and leadership teams to protect, maintain, and improve the performance and value of our data center portfolio. What You Will Do: Support strategic facilities operations and assist management with rollout and adoption of standard tools, processes, and systems Participate in a 24/7/365 monitoring and incident response team, supporting operational aspects of incident management Assist in incident investigations and MARC‑led Root Cause Analysis using structured problem‑solving techniques Identify opportunities to improve quality, customer service, and cost performance, and assist with execution of approved initiatives Develop, support, and help deliver training programs, including BMS/EPMS training, utilization validation, and report/trend generation Prepare reports and presentations for senior management while managing multiple projects and competing priorities under pressure What We Are Looking For: Required 3+ years of data center experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures Proven ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments and manage multiple deliverables Excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work different shifts within a 24/7/365 coverage strategy Preferred Proven track record of building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, or customers Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software Multilingual capabilities Education / Certifications: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or other related engineering degrees preferred. Requirements
