About The Position

The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for creating and maintaining effective relationships with the Mortgage Advisors. The Mortgage Loan Processor will focus his/her time on effectively managing the potential members mortgage request in a timely manner and ensuring all required information is received and retained in accordance with UFCU procedures. The Mortgage Loan Processor is also responsible for being an additional point of contact for the member throughout the process as requested by management, while meeting or exceeding the service level agreements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience in financial industry or real estate required.
• Understanding of mortgage products.
• Knowledge of mortgage product requirements, procedures, and underwriting criteria.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review all loan documents and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Ordering and gathering all necessary documents from outside sources to complete the loan file. Resolves any issues determined by underwriting and submit loan file for final approval.
• Maintain effective levels of communication with the Mortgage Advisors and the Members as directed by management.
• Remain current on regulatory updates and completes mandatory training in relation to this as directed by management.
• Evaluate departmental processes and procedures and recommend improvements.
• Provide support to other areas as requested by management.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all Credit Union products and services.
