  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum of four years real estate lending experience or a minimum of two years of first mortgage real estate processing experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in operation of Encompass software system a plus.
  • One year government (FHA, VA, or USDA) mortgage experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review real estate loan files within expected SLAs of receipt from loan officers to determine if all required documentation has been requested and received, and if not, collaborate directly with others in the department to obtain and resolve.
  • Review and correct all data on LOS to ensure accuracy and input in conformance with department policy.
  • Own the pipeline management for assigned loans, including updating information and ensuring status is up to date in LOS reporting system.
  • Process loans in conformance with investor/department policy.
  • Follow investor/department guidelines for documentation requirements and submit with file for approval to underwriting with all applicable comments noted and compensating factors outlined with minimal oversight from management.
  • Analyze credit reports, tax returns, verifications, appraisals, preliminary title reports and other real estate related documentation to determine applicability.
  • Assist in the development and training of other staff members in processing, and serve as a mentor for Mortgage Processor Is.
  • Process and manage an active pipeline of all loan types (over 40).
  • Process and complete them in less than 30 days from receipt of full application and/or Purchase and Sale Agreement Close of Escrow Dates, with the ability to flex and prioritize as needed.
  • Possess strong knowledge and thorough understanding of Real Estate compliance guidelines and ability to implement them.
  • Provide recommendations to management for process improvements and/or increased workflow efficiencies.
  • Assist Mortgage Processing Manager(s) in other duties as assigned.
  • Assist other Processors, Underwriters and the Closing department as an effective team member.
