About The Position

The Move Technician performs moves, state surplus, recycling/waste, and event set-ups in support of the medical, educational, and research programs on the UAMS Campus and offsite facilities. This position will be responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of computers, furniture, and other equipment as needed. This position is also responsible for assisting with problems and/or emergencies relating to facility issues on the UAMS Campus.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• One (1) year experience in equipment, furniture disassembly or similar
• Valid Driver’s License with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record
• The ability to lift 50 lbs. or more repetitiously

Responsibilities

• Performs moves in support of medical, educational, and research programs
• Performs state surplus activities
• Performs recycling/waste activities
• Performs event set-ups
• Disassembly and reassembly of computers, furniture, and other equipment
• Assisting with problems and/or emergencies relating to facility issues
