If so, CW Resources, is looking for a commercial Mower Operator – Landscaping Crewmember to help maintain the grounds of Arnold AFB. Operate a variety of commercial lawn care equipment, including zero-turn mowers, as well as trimmers, blowers, edgers, and hedge trimmers. Keep grounds looking sharp by edging lawns, trimming weeds, pruning shrubs, and clearing debris from walkways, fences, and landscaped areas. Assist with planting flowers, trees, and shrubs, applying mulch, and maintaining landscaped beds. Perform basic irrigation support, such as watering plants and reporting any system issues. Handle seasonal tasks like leaf cleanup, snow/ice removal (if applicable), and storm debris clearing. Load, unload, and transport landscaping tools and materials safely. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a tidy and functional workspace. Conduct daily inspections of all equipment before and after use to ensure safety and performance. Follow schedule and instructions to complete assigned tasks across different base zones. Work as part of a team on larger landscaping projects, including sod installation, erosion control, and other base beautification efforts. Always follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly to protect yourself and your team. What You Need to be Successful: Minimum of 1 -2 years of experience with landscaping tasks including trimming, edging, mulching, planting, and general grounds maintenance. Minimum of 1 -2 years of experience operating commercial mowing equipment such as zero‑turn mowers, walk‑behind mowers, and push mowers. Valid Real ID. Ability to obtain and sustain federal base access. Bonus If You Have These Skills: Experience identifying basic lawn health issues such as weeds, pests, or irrigation problems. Strong attention to detail when mowing, trimming, and maintaining clean, professional‑looking grounds. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a team environment. Good time‑management skills to complete assigned routes and tasks within scheduled timeframes. Strong communication skills to coordinate with crew members and ensure safe, efficient workflow. Dependability and reliability, including consistent attendance and a strong work ethic. Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift). Repetitive use of hands and arms for equipment operation and tool handling. Ability to climb in and out of vehicles and operate mowing equipment for long stretches of time. Occasional work at low levels (e.g., kneeling to trim or plant). Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, light rain, and cooler temperatures. Exposure to lawn chemicals, dust, pollen, grass, and debris. Operation of loud equipment (hearing protection provided). Potential exposure to uneven or slippery surfaces and moderate noise levels.
