Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Required
  • 2 years manufacturing and distribution experience required
  • 5 years logistics preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing experience desired
  • Strong computer skills to include working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP or other preferred
  • Customer and supplier orientation, organization and coordination skills
  • Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills necessary to work in a cooperative, positive team approach
  • Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal & professional level
  • Must be able to read, interpret, understand and follow instructions, product labels, safety rules, operation and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and schedules
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing experience desired
  • Strong computer skills to include working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP or other preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant logistics, materials, and production planning activities
  • Ensure safety compliance in all material‑handling areas
  • Oversee logistics/TMS support and carrier issues
  • Drive material‑handling improvements and Lean initiatives
  • Partner with Sales, Inventory, and Operations on inventory‑reduction projects
  • Level‑load production planning to optimize inventory
  • Support PFEP, replenishment, and material‑flow processes
  • Track and own logistics KPIs (inventory turns, variance, on‑time delivery)
  • Standardize procedures to improve workforce efficiency
  • Interview, hire, and manage supervisors and team members (Planning, Receiving, Inventory, Shipping)
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing on planning and inventory needs
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct annual reviews
  • Ensure non‑conforming materials are controlled and corrective actions initiated
  • Ensure logistics and planning activities meet time, cost, customer, and supplier requirements
  • Manage project stages and ensure deadlines are met
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
