MP&L Supervisor
About The Position
Creative Business Innovations is seeking an experienced MP&L Supervisor (Materials Planning & Logistics) for our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier supporting Honda production operations . This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient logistics operations to support production schedules in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in materials planning, warehouse operations, inventory control, and production support within a Tier 1 automotive or manufacturing facility . Position Overview The MP&L Supervisor is responsible for managing the flow of materials from suppliers through warehouse operations and into production , ensuring that all materials are available to support Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing requirements . This role will supervise warehouse personnel, material handlers, and logistics operations , while coordinating closely with purchasing, production, scheduling, and suppliers .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 3-5+ years of experience in Materials Planning, Logistics, or Warehouse Supervision
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier environment strongly preferred
- Knowledge of inventory control, production support logistics, and material flow
- Experience with ERP / MRP systems
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily materials planning, logistics, and warehouse operations
- Ensure continuous material flow to production lines
- Manage inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts
- Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery
- Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments
- Oversee receiving, storage, and line-side material delivery
- Support production scheduling and material availability
- Identify and resolve material shortages or supply disruptions
- Maintain accurate information within ERP/MRP systems
- Lead and develop warehouse and logistics team members
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
