About The Position

The Hobart Food Machines manufacturing facility located in Hillsboro, OH, is seeking a qualified MRD Specialist. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the material handling functions of the business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 1-2 years’ experience in inventory management or in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Effective Oral & Written Communication
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adjust workflow based on business needs
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout workday
  • Ability to operate Forklift Daily
  • Basic math skills

Nice To Haves

  • Vantage/Epicor experience
  • Forklift certification
  • Understanding of MRD application and Kan Ban 2 bin system, differentiation of expense parts (C-items) vs. inventory parts (quantity bearing)
  • Cycle Counting procedures
  • Experience with Hobart parts/application for use

Responsibilities

  • Placement of PO’s for specified Kanban parts
  • Review of exception reports to assist with notification and/or delivery of incoming product to production lines, materials group, production supervisors, etc.
  • Inventory maintenance responsibility, perform accurate cycle counts per audit guidelines, assisting with cycle counting issues to troubleshoot root cause, resolution and alleviation of future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with the materials team for Kan Ban set-up including creation and maintenance of cards, setting up bins, and stocking areas.
  • Attention to detail - ensure materials are delivered and put away in correct areas, ensure accuracy in shipping documentation, ensure entries to Vantage & Epicor or other inventory functions are updated correctly, understands the correlation between inventory entry and financial impact, discovers or anticipates issues and communicates appropriately.
  • Familiar with RMA process, rejects damaged items.
  • Assist with DMR/RA processes for all defective parts or equipment for replacement or credit including the facilitation of returning parts to the supplier.
  • Communicates effectively/ utilizes teamwork with appropriate cross-functional personnel, including management, accounting, purchasing, assembly, engineering, customer service, service, warehouse, etc.
  • Audit incoming materials as required for correct piece counts per requirements, inspect materials if applicable.
  • Pick/Pack Service orders to achieve acceptable on time delivery per guidelines.
  • Prepare and expedite shipments, warehouse or direct.
  • File and maintain all required documents, understand document retention requirements and disposition
  • Adherence to safety standards including, but not limited to, forklift inspection/maintenance, work-area 6S, and safe loading/unloading of semi- trailers and storage racks
  • Assist/train other employees in understanding the Kan Ban and MRD processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
