About The Position

Envision Imaging is looking to add an MRI Technologist to our team to float between the Collin, Denton, and North Dallas regions Monday – Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM based on coverage needs. | Position Pay Range: $37.51 - $48.35 Pay differential for travel | To honor long-term commitment, this role includes a $10,000 retention bonus Summary/Objective Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Requirements

  • Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
  • Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  • Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
  • Transfers images to other locations as needed.
  • Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
  • Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
  • Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
