About The Position

The MRI Technologist produces images for medical diagnosis by performing a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Explains procedures to patients/families and assists radiologist in administering medications. May prepare patient for imaging by administering contrast IV and non IV. Technologist focus on infant, children and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.

Requirements

• Experience working in an acute care setting.
• Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology or MRI.
• Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others.
• Be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
• Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.
• Able to use compute and software programs necessary to the position e.g. Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
• American Reg Rad Tech - Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Venipuncture Certificate.

Nice To Haves

• One year working in an acute care, pediatric environment.
• Certified Radiologic Tech - CA
• American Reg Rad Tech - Radiography (ARRT-R).
