About The Position
The MRI Technologist performs MRI scans to support diagnosis and patient care. This role requires strong knowledge of MRI procedures, patient safety, and imaging quality in a hospital setting.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
- NY State Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
- ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT Certification (Required)
- 1+ year MRI experience in acute care
- Experience with GE MRI equipment
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans as per physician orders
- Prepare and position patients for imaging
- Follow MRI safety protocols
- Operate MRI equipment (GE experience preferred)
- Check image quality and accuracy
- Monitor patients during procedures
- Maintain proper documentation
- Work with radiologists and healthcare teams
- Follow hospital policies and infection control standards
