From your PASSION to ours Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an MRO Store Room Supervisor based in Tulare, CA. Maintenance Repair and Operations Storeroom Supervisor MRO) is responsible for managing Maintenance Repair and Operations spare parts inventory, contracts and services with suppliers, monitoring and reporting departmental spending and accounting functions. The MRO will also ensure inventory is accurate, maintained and available to meet plant needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance or similar field
  • 5+ plus years of maintenance repair or related field experience in a similar industry.
  • 3+ years stock maintenance for inventory and purchasing experience.
  • Supply system operation and performance knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop and engage a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage day-to-day operations and projects in a challenging, complex, time sensitive environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and manufacturing operating systems such as SAP.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Internal and external customer focus with demonstrated sustainable performance
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of all working processes and expert in authorized levels of SAP software
  • Ability to train and develop team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all inventory levels are maintained and accurate.
  • Performs routine inventory cycle counts.
  • Requests quotes for spare parts, tooling, services, etc.-review quotes for accuracy and negotiate for best pricing.
  • Continuously review and negotiate better pricing with existing suppliers.
  • Performs market tests with potential vendors.
  • Ensures all orders and requests are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Expedites requests as needed.
  • Ensure successful completion of assigned department specific initiatives (e.g. store room organization).
  • Ensures purchase records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories are accurate, maintained and filed in an accessible location.
  • Supports purchasing of new products, summarizes and delivers supplier recommendations to company management.
  • Coordinates cost reduction tracking program including reporting on the data as requested.
  • Partners cross-functionally to ensure material requirements are accurate.
  • Communicates with supplier and ensures order is accurate.
  • Completes purchase orders.
  • Ensures invoices are accurately reconciled.
  • Performs assigned clerical tasks accurately and efficiently, including reports and spreadsheets.
  • Manage process for returning materials back to storeroom stock inventory.
  • Ensures inventory sign out sheet is accurate and adjusts when necessary.
  • Oversees the entry of parts/supply information, including entering new parts in database.
  • Performs routine audits to ensure the accuracy of data.
  • Verifies that obsolete inventory is identified and works with controller/maintenance and management for proper disposal.
  • Responsible for managing team members, including interviewing, hiring, and training and developing; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Partner with HR on all employee relations issues.
