About The Position

As a Purchasing Specialist at Huntington Technology, you’re a key part of how we deliver on our Total Care promise. You own the full lifecycle of hardware and licensing procurement so our clients get the right solutions, on time, every time. This is a full-time, onsite role in our Detroit-area office where follow-through, clarity, and teamwork are non-negotiable.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience; IT hardware and licensing experience strongly preferred.
Strong Excel skills and comfort working in procurement, inventory, or PSA systems.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. If you say it’s done, it’s done.
Clear communicator who’s comfortable working with vendors and internal teams.
Able to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball in a fast-moving environment.
Willing and able to work full-time onsite in our Detroit-area office.

Nice To Haves

Experience with QuickBooks Online for expense tracking and reconciliation is a big plus.
Bonus points for experience with Kaseya Quote Manager, Autotask, and EOS.

Responsibilities

Own the purchasing process for IT hardware, software, and client licensing based on approved quotes and technical specifications.
Track orders end-to-end, monitor shipments, and proactively resolve delays or issues before they impact projects or clients.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and hold vendors accountable to commitments.
Receive, verify, and reconcile hardware and licensing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain clean, reliable inventory records that the team can trust.
Coordinate closely with project, service, and leadership teams to align deliveries with deployment timelines.
Assist with expense reconciliation and produce clear purchasing and cost reports.
Look for better ways to do the work by improving processes, reducing waste, and controlling costs through curiosity and initiative.
