About The Position

This position is central to the missionaries' role to 'Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.' Actors are support, entry level, individual contributors that play the role of an individual who is interested in learning more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Missionaries may teach you several times, depending on the language, and you will progress through this process. Primarily, Actors should be focused on providing realistic, positive experiences for missionaries to apply their purpose and evaluate their teaching skills. Applicants of all language abilities are encouraged to apply. Missionary training centers (MTCs) help missionaries understand, live, and apply the missionary purpose as stated on page one of Preach My Gospel: A Guide to Missionary Service. Missionaries learn and teach the doctrine of Christ from the Book of Mormon. They learn how to be more effective teachers by studying and practicing the principles in Preach My Gospel. They also learn how to adjust to missionary life and how to live missionary standards. Missionaries who are assigned to learn a mission language will also begin learning this language in the MTC.
