The Office of User Support Services, Department of Media & Technology Support Services is seeking candidates for the Student MTSS Technician role. The MTSS Technician position is vital to the success of everyday technology at TCNJ. We have a responsibility to ensure faculty, staff, students and guests can focus on their class purpose and area of expertise while enjoying a carefree, user-friendly audiovisual experience in tech enabled spaces on campus. This position offers the opportunity to grow as a student and as a professional.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs.)
  • Must be able to work 12 - 15 hours per week and provide availability for the closing shift (until 10pm) at least twice a week

Nice To Haves

  • Must have a working knowledge of audio-visual equipment (projectors, microphones, laptops, etc.)
  • Must have a working knowledge of Windows & Mac computers, presentation software, operating systems, etc.
  • Ability and interest in learning technology related skills

Responsibilities

  • MTSS Technicians are responsible for first level technical support for phone and walk up contacts
  • Responsible for monitoring calls and requests on a continual timely basis
  • Responsible for delivery, setup and take down of campus audio/visual (A/V) equipment
  • Responsible for daily support of classroom A/V technology
  • Assist in setups and operation of event technology
  • Assists in other duties and projects as assigned by the MTTS Staff
