Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 year supervisory or management experience preferably horse racing industry
  • TIPS certification
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Able to coach, discipline and motivate staff
  • Knowledge of Micros POS, Microsoft Office and ability to type
  • Basic math and cash handling procedures
  • Able to take direction and achieve results
  • Able to deal with stressful and confrontations situations
  • Able to make decisions in stressful and confrontational situations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Directs employees in each department with department specific goals/ promotions
  • Focuses on player loyalty and increasing handle revenue
  • Supports business strategies as directed by the General Manager
  • Creates and establishes a safe and positive working environment
  • Understands all aspects of racing and wagering
  • Controls department specific costs and expenses
  • Ability to understand and abide by union contract
  • Able to operate Money Room and its functions
  • Understand and utilize software applications for the Player Reward Program and Xpressbet
  • Any other assigned duties and responsibilities
