Job Summary The Network Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, performance, and development of Viridien’s network operations team. This role leads a team of engineers while driving the design, implementation, optimization, and reliability of enterprise and high-performance computing network environments that support global business operations. This position partners closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to align network strategy, manage resources effectively, and ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality network services across Viridien.

Requirements

  • Expertise in High Performance Computing and enterprise data center network environments
  • Advanced knowledge of modern network architectures and protocols (spine-leaf, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, MLAG)
  • Strong hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting complex networks
  • Proficiency with network automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge of modern data center cabling and fiber standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • CCNP or equivalent networking experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of high-performance computing network infrastructure
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex network and production issues
  • Drive network architecture, optimization, and capacity planning aligned to business growth
  • Ensure stable production operations through careful planning and coordinated change management
  • Lead local, regional, and global networking initiatives and projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions and recommendations
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and design frameworks
  • Coach and mentor network engineers, fostering technical excellence and team development
  • Provide high-quality service and partnership to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in regional on-call support rotations
  • Travel domestically or internationally on a limited basis, as required
