MIAMI, FL (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A warm, active family is seeking an experienced FULL-TIME NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to support their two young children—a 1-year-old boy and a 3.5-year-old girl—in a long-term, live-out role anticipated to begin March 1, 2026. This position is ideal for a mature, highly adaptable, and proactive caregiver who is eager to take a leadership role in the home, partner closely with hands-on parents, and become a trusted, long-term presence in the family’s life. The family lives in a walkable neighborhood with nearby parks and parking available and has one small dog in the home. The core schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (approximately 45 hours/week), with flexibility required. Occasional Saturday hours (approximately 4 hours) may be requested with advance notice. The older child currently attends school full days five days per week, and the younger child will begin school in the fall for approximately three hours per day. There will be periods—such as June, school holidays, or during travel—when both children are home full-time, and candidates must be confident engaging both children throughout the day. Primary responsibilities include providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care; planning enriching activities; supporting learning through play; and maintaining consistent routines. The children are kind, energetic, eager to learn, and enjoy playing together. The family values a nanny who is hands-on, present, organized, and able to confidently hold boundaries while remaining warm and loving. This role also includes child-focused household management, such as preparing healthy meals for the children (with light family cooking as needed), maintaining organized and well-stocked children’s spaces, managing schedules and supplies, and assisting with light housekeeping and errands related to the children—particularly when both children are in school. Driving is required primarily for school transportation; candidates should have a clean driving record and be comfortable using their own vehicle when needed, with mileage reimbursed. Travel is a significant and important component of this role. The family spends extended time away from Florida, including summer travel to the Hamptons (June/July), where the nanny will travel with the family for the full month. While traveling, the nanny will live in with a private bedroom and bathroom, and the schedule will remain consistent, just in a different location. Candidates must be comfortable spending extended periods away from home, adapting to new environments, and maintaining routines while traveling. A valid passport and prior travel experience are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is warm, calm, organized, reliable, and confident multitasking in a dynamic household. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and genuine enjoyment of working with toddlers are essential. Mom is very involved with classes and playdates and values a nanny who can seamlessly support, step back when needed, and take the lead when appropriate. The family prefers a mature, Type A nanny with life experience—someone organized, decisive, nurturing, and comfortable holding boundaries while helping maintain the household’s structure and flow. Candidates should be flexible with hours, comfortable staying back with the children during parental travel, and enthusiastic about an on-the-go lifestyle. COVID vaccination is not required; flu vaccination is preferred. The family is offering $30/hour, paid via payroll weekly or bi-weekly, along with paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick days, health insurance, and mileage reimbursement. There is room for growth for the right long-term candidate.
