Part-time Nanny in San Carlos, CA for a 5-year-old and 7-year-old
About The Position
A bit about us: We’re a warm, caring family of 4 with a small, lovable dog named Pumpkin. As a family, we like baking, bowling, beach days, and riding our bikes downtown. We’re both busy, working parents who sometimes work from home and enjoy dropping off and picking up our kids when we can. Mom is organized, tidy, and detail-oriented who greatly appreciates those qualities in a nanny. Dad is upbeat and energetic who greatly appreciates those qualities in a nanny. We both approach parenting with empathy, kindness, and respect for our children as they learn and grow. We also love to spark learning and curiosity. We’re both looking for a nanny who enjoys chatting with the kids, asking about their days, and having fun with them after school, as well as someone who is a proactive helper in our home. Our 5-year-old son is kind, very sharp, and energetic. He’s already an avid reader, and he loves playing basketball and soccer. Our 7-year-old daughter is sweet, smart, and affectionate. She loves to dance, listen to music, and create art. Both kids want a nanny who will be their buddy and have fun but also respect them and be a good listener and teacher/coach for them as they learn. A bit about you: You are upbeat and positive, a genuinely caring person. You are an excellent driver. You’re someone who models kindness and respect and will help teach our kids to be kind. You have a gentle and empathetic approach to setting boundaries. Additionally, you are organized, efficient, and open to helping with household tasks.
Requirements
- Previous nanny experience
- Childcare experience (preferred with siblings), solid experience with children ages 5-7
- Highly organized and tidy, can help manage kid logistics and help maintain a tidy home
- Intermediate cooking skills/meal prep ability
- Clean driving record, reliable vehicle you can put 2 booster seats in, valid Driver’s License
- CPR certified (or willing to get)
Nice To Haves
- You have a teaching experience, or have a knack for making things fun and turning homework into a game
- You love cooking
- You have previous experience in positions that required a lot of home organization
Responsibilities
