About The Position

The National Account Manager drives business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities through research, lead generation, and proactive client outreach. They will build and maintain strong relationships with national accounts, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure clear communication, effective service implementation, and long-term client retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Account Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in professional services or sustainability-focused service offerings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate initiatives across several internal departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations to individuals and groups at all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of generating sales results and selling services in a complex business environment.
  • Strong negotiation, project management, and account management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, lead generation, warm calls, and ongoing customer service.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen client relationships and support long-term account growth.
  • Support both domestic and international sales efforts to help expand market reach and grow revenue.
  • Act as the main point of contact between client companies and the operations team to ensure clear communication and smooth delivery of service.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure favorable terms and support long-term partnerships.
  • Research and evaluate potential clients, including their culture, products, competitive position, financial status, and key decision makers.
  • Understand current and future clients’ needs and recommend company services that best support their goals.
  • Help prepare and carry out sales and business development plans, including sales forecasts and growth strategies.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as requested by management to track performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Represent the organization at conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed, and prepare post-event reports to summarize results and key insights.
