About The Position

The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is a savvy, business-minded sales professional who is responsible for managing existing national account retailers and developing new account relationships. This position will work in conjunction with the rest of the sales team to ensure the company’s objectives are achieved. It will be critical to develop a thorough knowledge of the company’s strategic directions and programs. The NAM develops business plans, budgets, and is responsible for the financial performance of the assigned accounts. The NAM will report to the Director of National Accounts, and it is expected that the NAM will work from the home office in Payson, Utah. As an Account Manager, you will work to maintain existing and develop new retail partnerships within the sales organization of the business. You will be the key person to continue to develop Liberty Safe’s strength and identity as a wholesale supplier to our retail customers. You will be charged with increasing sales by executing on the following: The NAM is responsible for producing regular product level sales forecasts that will be shared with and utilized by the purchasing and manufacturing teams within the Company. The NAM is also responsible for managing a P&L (revenue & expense) for each assigned customer to ensure each account maintains profitability levels that align with the Company’s goals and objectives. While this role is an individual contributor, you will play a key role in coordinating the efforts of the inside sales team, marketing, manufacturing, shipping, and purchasing as they relate to your key accounts. Clear and effective communication to the various groups within the organization will be critical to the success of your accounts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales with at least 3 years of experience at the Key or National account level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative (able to work well with others in a team environment)
  • Strong presence with decision-makers at large retailers
  • Results-oriented (proven history of results and achievement of objectives)
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Independent and quick learner
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proven ability for extensive travel AND retail background are key for this position

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide sales solutions that solve sell-through barriers that exist at the retail level.
  • Assist retailer partners to enhance their e-commerce and advertising strategy in the safe category.
  • Develop relationships with buyers and key employees at the corporate level as well as store management.
  • Develop new revenue opportunities through customer acquisition or new product offerings.
  • Develop and coordinate effective promotional opportunities with each account.
  • Ensure an effective ad planning strategy is in place with each customer.
  • Provide customers with effective training tools and support at both the corporate level and store level.
  • Provide trade show support.
  • Ensure that a consistent company message is communicated to all customers that reinforces the company’s strategic direction and programs.
