Role Purpose The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth and long-term customer value by leading new business development across large national accounts. This role owns end-to-end sales cycle, while partnering with cross-functional and global teams to propose and win innovative, data-driven energy management solutions Sign up new customer to help grow revenue for Abound

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of sales or new business development experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Energy Management / Energy Services
  • Able to travel up to 50%

Nice To Haves

  • Some late evening / early morning work is expected (primarily MS Teams calls with global teams)
  • Graduate Degree (MBA is desirable but not a requirement) in Operating Technologies including BMS, Elevator, Security, lighting, etc. in the Commercial Building Industry
  • Experience with IoT systems including widgets, sensors, etc. in the Commercial Building Industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales process from prospecting, reach out, negotiating and closing large multi-year contracts
  • Prospect and close deals with fortune 500 companies based on the organization's focus list
  • Engage senior management on customer side to understand their needs and accordingly present tailored solutions
  • Work with engineering and presales teams to customize the solutions and engage customer in consultative manner
  • Work with facilities, Energy, Procurement and Legal teams [ in customer organization] during negotiation and contracting process
  • Provide weekly sales reports and detailed account plans
  • Work with internal functions to strategize account pursuits and solution development for specific key accounts.
  • Experience in engaging senior management
  • Self driven and willing to learn and talk technology, data science and analytics
