What you'll be working on: Assist in the installation, inspection, and repair of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure, including installing remote meter reading devices, meter reading, line locating, painting meters. Learns to detect and respond to gas leaks using specialized equipment. Supports routine maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced technicians including, traffic control, landscaping, stocking of trucks with equipment, supplies and tools. Operates hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Participates in emergency response activities as needed. Documents work performed and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely
• Able to work within a diverse workforce
• Some knowledge of hand tools or maintenance acumen
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred
