Position Summary: An intern supports the assigned department by assisting with a variety of tasks, including special project assignments and active participation in project design and documentation, to gain practical experience and support their educational development. Responsible for providing field and office support for NEPA reports, wetlands and waters delineations, species surveys, and environmental permitting in Texas. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior or lead NEPA Specialist and Project Manager with basic data collection, including research, field visits, and environmental reports.
  • Help prepare reports and documents for wetlands and waters delineations, species surveys, and environmental permitting.
  • Support the creation of presentation and marketing materials.
  • Assist with project activities, including participating in site visits, supporting RFI responses, reviewing drawings, and helping update documents.
  • Follow established quality control procedures and ask questions as needed.
  • Learn and apply department and company standards and best practices.
  • Develop basic design, analysis, and technical skills through hands-on experience.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with team members.
  • Receive guidance and direction from supervisors and team leaders.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to work in hot or cold field conditions for up to 10 hours per day
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
