About The Position

The Nature Education Intern is responsible for assisting education staff in planning, organizing, and presenting educational programs and events.

Requirements

  • You have strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor, wanting to gain experience in community engagement and education
  • You're at least 18 years old with high school completion or GED
  • You have at least 1 year of combined educational and professional experience in natural resources, environmental interpretation, education, or a closely related field

Responsibilities

  • assisting with and collaborating in the preparation and presentation of Mill Creek MetroParks focused special events
  • assisting with and collaborating in the preparation and presentation of Mill Creek MetroParks focused school programs
  • assisting with and collaborating in the preparation and presentation of Mill Creek MetroParks focused public education programs
  • assisting with and collaborating in the preparation and presentation of Mill Creek MetroParks focused community outreach
  • assisting with and collaborating in the preparation and presentation of Mill Creek MetroParks focused educational lectures
  • assisting with and collaborating in the preparation and presentation of Mill Creek MetroParks focused reservations
  • assisting with and collaborating in the preparation and presentation of Mill Creek MetroParks focused summer camps
