About The Position

Certified Electrical Testing Technician (NETA Level 3). Capable of leading routine and moderately complex testing tasks and supervising Level 1 trainees and Level 2 assistants. Responsible for the safety of others on the crew, evaluation of test data, and accurate field reporting. May be qualified to perform electrical power switching where permitted by client/site rules.

Requirements

• NETA Level 3 certification (or ability to obtain/maintain per company requirement).
• Typically 5+ years of related field experience (or equivalent technical education per NETA guidance).
• Demonstrated proficiency with common electrical test methods and instruments; strong documentation and report-writing capability.
• Ability to interface professionally with client operations, commissioning, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution of acceptance and maintenance testing on low/medium-voltage systems and associated protective devices per standards and client specifications.
• Supervise, coach, and verify work quality for Level 1–2 technicians; assign tasks and confirm competency for the job scope.
• Evaluate test data, compare to acceptance criteria, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions or additional diagnostics.
• Coordinate with client/GC operations for outages, permits, access, and switching plans in accordance with site authorization requirements.
• Prepare/approve field service reports, test forms, and exception lists; ensure traceability to equipment IDs and drawings.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause support for abnormal results; plan re-test strategy following repairs.
• Maintain accountability for safety compliance: job briefings, boundaries, PPE, LOTO execution, and stop-work authority.
