About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Network Administrator II is to support and maintain core voice and data network infrastructure, operations, and security. This position is accountable for overall network availability, maintaining service level commitments, and supporting the communication technology needs of the company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of network administration or engineering experience.
  • Broad knowledge of network design and troubleshooting concepts, including an in-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of network firewall administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory configuration.

Nice To Haves

  • 7 years of network administration or engineering experience.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining network security protocols and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Take a lead role in the development of network design and architecture to meet the credit union’s security, redundancy, scalability, and performance goals.
  • Perform policy configuration and maintenance on company firewall and VPN devices.
  • Monitor production voice and data network services.
  • Proactively monitor storage and make necessary solutions.
  • Maintain patch management and software/firmware upgrade procedures for critical network infrastructure.
  • Implement network capabilities that support enterprise disaster recovery processes and business continuity plans.
  • Develop and support service level agreements, network service availability metrics, and management reports.
  • Engage vendors and third-parties to resolve issues and analyze design options.
  • Participate in enterprise projects and to ensure the alignment between business and IT goals.
  • Propose and implement technology focused projects that improve IT security, capabilities, and services.
  • Develop, update, and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
