Network Architect – Telecom Team Location: Bethesda, MD Peraton is seeking a Network Architect to join our Telecom team in Bethesda, MD. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performance data networks across LAN, WAN, and Cloud environments that support critical FAA operations. Requirements

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, or telecom architecture.
  • Strong expertise in fiber-optic technologies (DWDM, PON), satellite communications, and carrier-grade protocols such as MPLS and BGP.
  • In-depth knowledge of 5G NR architecture, including Open RAN (O-RAN), network slicing, and edge computing.
  • Proven experience with cloud-native networking, including SDN and NFV, across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of OSS/BSS platforms supporting service delivery, operations, and billing integration.
