About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring reliable, high-performance connectivity of AllCare Health’s IT systems by designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the local, wide-area, and storage networks for the organization’s multi-site and multi-data center infrastructure. You will work closely with the Systems and Support teams, architecting enterprise-grade network solutions to meet business requirements and assist with troubleshooting network-related issues.

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) from four-year college or university in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four to ten years of experience and/or training in a related field.
  • Excellent networking skills, including configuration of routers, Palo Alto firewalls, Arista & Ubiquiti switches, Brocade FC switches, and Cisco & Ubiquiti access points.
  • Adept computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining end user equipment to include desktops, laptops, thin clients, printers, and other devices.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, software deployment solutions, and patch management.
  • Knowledge of advanced methods for virus prevention and removal.
  • Proficiency in technical support, customer support, and problem resolution.
  • Adept at remote troubleshooting and handling phone calls.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices.
  • Familiarity with the Healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco (CCNP), Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE), Juniper Networks (JNCIP) or similar certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, deploys, and maintains network infrastructure including routers, firewalls, switches, wireless LAN controllers, wireless access points, and support infrastructure for network configuration management and backup.
  • Configures and maintains appropriate routing, switching, and transport protocols for multi-site and multidata-center connectivity, including eBGP, OSPF, RSTP, LACP, VRF, and VXLAN.
  • Manages network load balancers by creating layer 4 and layer 7 service mappings, determines appropriate load balancing algorithms, and considers disaster recovery strategy and efficient load distribution for backend servers.
  • Manages firewall rules, working collaboratively with IT personnel and customers to ensure business needs are met while maintaining secure network traffic segmentation and adhering to IT security policy and industry best practices.
  • Plans, designs, and implements network infrastructure projects within areas of subject matter expertise, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategic goals.
  • Monitors network utilization and trends, performs capacity planning, and suggests improvements to the environment to ensure the network’s availability, performance, and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with staff, business partners, vendors, and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
  • Works with the Field Support team to configure and coordinate the deployment of remote office routers, switches, and VPN connections.
  • Performs network maintenance including hardware upgrades, software updates, and security patches.
  • Configures and manages network and SAN switches in support of multi-site infrastructure in order to segment and secure multiple client and server networks.
  • Deploys and manages IPSec and SSL/TLS VPNs to secure branch office, employee, and business partner connectivity.
  • Maintains the RADIUS infrastructure to enable centralized access control for users and devices authenticating to the network.
  • Maintains and develops the Enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system; manages certificate lifecycle, certificate authority operations, and PKI-dependent services.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, configurations, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining DNS infrastructure. Providing reliable name resolution, ensuring high performance, availability through monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Manages a high availability DHCP server infrastructure, ensuring adequate overhead for rapidly changing needs such as during VDI boot storms and large on-site events.
  • Performs packet captures and analysis using commonly available tools.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots Linux server infrastructure supporting enterprise IT services and operations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, training plans, and technical briefs for network operations and emerging technologies.
  • Maintains proxies, web content filters, web application firewalls, and access gateways.
  • Performs network issue diagnosis, root cause troubleshooting, and follows the root cause analysis procedure.
  • Provides technical mentoring, guidance, and knowledge transfer to junior IT staff in areas of subject matter expertise, fostering skill development and promoting best practices.
  • Maintains current knowledge of emerging networking technologies, industry trends, and best practices through ongoing professional development and research.
  • Works within AllCare Health’s established change management policies.
  • Travels to remote offices for large project deployments as necessary.
  • Dresses in neat and clean business casual attire; AllCare branded polo, collared shirt, V-neck, blouses or other business appropriate clothing.
  • Operates during regular business hours. However, there may be occasional situations during critical incidents or launches that require availability outside normal hours.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor through punctual and reliable attendance, collaborative teamwork, and respectful engagement with colleagues and leadership.
  • Respectfully takes direction from leadership.
  • Meets all required training including those listed in Relias Learning Module System (LMS).
