About The Position

Network Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and mission-focused Network Engineer to support operations at Buckley Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This role requires experience with Cisco and Dell networking technologies and the ability to work in a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on network engineering experience, and the ability to support enterprise-level infrastructure in a classified setting.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure within a DoD or government environment.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, routing protocols).
• Experience with Dell networking hardware and related management tools.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network security principles, and enterprise networking architecture.
• Ability to work onsite at Buckley SFB in Colorado Springs, CO.

Nice To Haves

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Familiarity with virtualization and data center networking environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks and RMF processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure utilizing Cisco and Dell networking equipment.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, and related network devices in accordance with DoD security standards.
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of systems.
• Perform network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution across LAN/WAN environments.
• Support system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of network hardware and software.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD and DISA STIG requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Support incident response activities and provide technical expertise during outage resolution.
