About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Network Specialist - Desktop Support in our Calabasas, CA location. Work Schedule: This is a full‑time, non-exempt (hourly) position assigned to a Second Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible. Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM PST Key Responsibilities: In the role of a Network Specialist, you'll be at the heart of keeping our Labcorp Specialty Lab Division's IT systems, hardware, and software running smoothly. It's a job that calls for a solid grasp of IT infrastructure, a knack for creative problem-solving, and the ability to provide top-notch support, whether it's for our local offices or colleagues working remotely. This role goes beyond just fixing things. You'll also get to dive into exciting IT projects and collaborate with our amazing cross-functional IT teams. Plus, when other departments like Servers, Networking, Voice Services, Data Center, or IT Security could use a hand, you'll be there to lend your expertise and make deeper connections across the IT spectrum. Location: This position is based in the Calabasas, CA office and requires the employee to work on-site. Working Hours: The Network Specialist will work Tuesday through Saturday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM PST with occasional “on-call” averaging 1-2 calls per week. Application Window: 3/27/2026

Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • 5 or more years' related work experience in IT support, with a focus on hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • 5 or more years' of Windows and IOS operating system experience
  • Proficiency in Active Directory account management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Current or previous experience in a Labcorp environment
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems is a plus.
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Support IT needs for both local and remote offices, addressing IT-related challenges and ensuring consistent performance.
  • Participate in IT projects, including installations, upgrades, and system migrations, collaborating with IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Handle account creation, reactivations, terminations, and password resets for Esoterix’s Laboratory systems.
  • Perform regular hardware maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Assist users with software-related problems, including installations, updates, and configuration adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed records of IT issues, solutions, and system configurations to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure that IT systems and data are protected by following security best practices and helping to enforce security policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT tools and best practices.
