Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist I in the Pediatric Epilepsy Center. In this role, you will perform restorative care activities with a patient-centered focus and provide surveillance and basic interpretation of various physiological monitoring for our patients. Under direct supervision, the Neurodiagnostic Technologist I performs standard procedures in an outpatient setting or as a portable study in the ER, ICU, radiology, or inpatient units. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is responsible for performing all neurodiagnostic procedures in accordance with the technical standards set forth by the American Society of Neurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) and the American Electroencephalography Society (AEEGS). The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is required to maintain and improve his/her level of clinical and technical knowledge. Documents patient history in the electronic medical record according to ACNS and departmental guidelines. With minimal guidance, the Neurodiagnostic Technologist I will be able to determine the correct montages, filter changes, and activation procedures to enhance epileptiform activity or waveform morphology.
