About The Position

Sonesta ES Suites Rancho Bernardo is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Full-Time Front Desk Associate to work a dual role as both a Guest Service Agent and a Night Auditor. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their schedule and has a passion for hospitality-day or night! This full-time position blends the best of both roles: Part-Time Guest Service Agent (Front Desk): Serve as the face of the hotel, welcoming guests, assisting with check-in/check-out, and creating memorable experiences during daytime and evening shifts. Part-Time Night Auditor: Oversee overnight operations, ensure accurate daily financial reporting, and assist late-night guests with professionalism and care.

Requirements

  • Prior hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred (Sonesta/Marriott brand experience is a plus!)
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team-based environment
  • Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks
  • Planning and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OPERA or similar PMS is a plus
  • Sonesta/Marriott brand experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Assist guests with inquiries and resolve issues promptly
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance team
  • Handles guest check-in and check-out in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Enters/changes reservation information on the hotel computer systems.
  • Processes payment from guest and posts charges to guest accounts.
  • Operates hotel telephone console and uses good telephone etiquette.
  • Sells rooms to guests on the telephone and in person.
  • May perform periodic or scheduled cleaning projects.
  • Understands and performs basic safety, security and emergency procedures of the hotel.
  • Perform nightly financial reconciliation and reporting
  • Monitor property security and respond to overnight guest needs
  • Help set up breakfast area and ensure morning readiness
  • Counts and balances cash and credit card receipts.
  • Adjusts or corrects accounts as needed.
  • Completes and distributes required audit processes and reports.
  • Serves as Manager on duty for overnight shift. Contacts hotel leadership when operational matters require additional insight and authority.
