About The Position

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nightlife Manager to join our team. The Nightlife Manager is responsible for overseeing nightlife operations at the assigned venue, including VIP host and server teams, events, and guest experience. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service, operational efficiency, and adherence to company standards. The Nightlife Manager supervises team leadership, service management, table sales, and day-to-day venue operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of nightlife, lounge, or hospitality management experience.
  • Experience with event coordination, VIP service, and high-volume nightlife operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory, POS, and reservation systems.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Ability to train and develop staff effectively.
  • Financial acumen for cost control and table revenue optimization.
  • Requires onsite presence during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate events and peak hours.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs., and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage VIP hosts, servers, and bussers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Oversee staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts while optimizing labor costs.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals, updates, and service standards.
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new team members to uphold company policies and service expectations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to enhance performance and support professional growth.
  • Act as the Leader on Duty (LOD) during assigned shifts, taking ownership of nightlife operations.
  • Oversee daily nightlife operations, including table setup, reservations, VIP services, and event logistics.
  • Ensure proper functionality and maintenance of lighting, DJ, and bar equipment; report issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with bar and kitchen teams to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levles for bar and event supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs for VIP service, table sales, and events to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Assist with the planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of nightlife events, including DJ sets, live performances, and promotion.
  • Support the execution of tlent riders and logistics for entertainment.
  • Collaborate with marketing and beverage teams to execute special menus and promotions.
  • Cultivate a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests, ensuring exceptional service at all times.
  • Interact with guests, addressing concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain service standards and ensure consistency across all nightlife operations.
  • Arrange and prepare schedules in Paycom at least one week prior to posting.
  • Manage timecards and payroll for assigned staff to verify hours worked, break adherence, and tip/gratuity processing.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Track table sales, reservations, and staff performance using Sevenrooms or other systems.
  • Provide feedback on key performance indicators to support revenue growth and operational efficiency.
