Liberty Tire Recycling is hiring a Box Truck Driver for our Baytown, TX facility. This is a hands-on driving role that requires touch-freight and manual loading. As the driver, you will travel with a Route Helper (a 2-person team) to collect used tires from customer locations. Both team members are responsible for manually loading, stacking, and lacing used tires—each weighing up to 50 lbs.—onto the back of the truck.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of box-truck driving experience or equivalent military experience.
  • Must have prior hands-on/touch-freight experience with manual labor and be comfortable lifting and loading tires up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a clean, acceptable MVR.
  • Must pass a post-offer background check and drug screen.
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime, some Saturdays, and occasional holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the tire recycling, waste/recycling, or manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a box truck to collect used tires from customer locations.
  • Work as part of a 2-person team (driver plus route helper) to manually load and stack tires on the truck.
  • Each tire can weigh up to 50 lbs.; physical stamina and safe lifting techniques are essential.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT and company safety standards.
  • Start routes early in the morning; end times vary based on route completion.
  • Work overtime, some Saturdays, and occasional holidays as needed.
  • Provide professional and courteous service at all customer locations.
  • Follow all company policies and ensure accurate paperwork and route documentation.
