Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician – Lourdes Hospital Job Summary: The Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician provides technical skills in obtaining electrocardiograph tracings, routine exercise stress testing, exercise testing with nuclear medicine, and Holter Monitor application and scanning if applicable in specific Non-Invasive Cardiology department.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers relevant personal information from patient’s record.
  • Prepares and instructs patients on the proper procedures to follow.
  • Transports portable electrocardiograph to hospital units and administers electrocardiograms to inpatients, or to out-patients in the lab area.
  • Performs stress/nuclear stress tests with treadmill, observing tracings for abnormalities.
  • Scans Holter Monitors, observing tracings for abnormalities if applicable.
  • Ensures tests results are placed in proper physician reading box for interpretation.
  • Employees may be required to perform other job-related duties as required by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation.
