Requirements

Experience in non-QM or non-conforming mortgage underwriting
Strong understanding of borrower financials, credit analysis, and risk assessment
Familiarity with real estate markets and property valuation concepts
Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations (e.g., ATR, RESPA, Reg B, Reg Z, Fair Lending)
Ability to review complex tax returns and financial documents
Proficiency with tools such as Encompass, Salesforce, and Excel (or similar systems)
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
A collaborative mindset and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Reviewing and analyzing loan files, income documentation, and supporting materials
Making credit decisions in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
Structuring loans and assessing borrower risk profiles
Ensuring compliance with internal standards and service level agreements
Collaborating with team members to resolve complex loan scenarios
Contributing to a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
