About The Position

The Northern Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in the northern geographics of the United States, expanding market reach, and strengthening distributor relationships for The Fresh Group, Ltd. The product segments specific but not limited to this role are Bulk/Split produce, Readyfresh cut produce, Readysafe cut produce, Readyjuice beverages, and Readyripe bags. This role requires a strategic leader who can develop high-impact sales strategies, collaborate with key decision makers, and ensure our customers receive high-quality, safe, and innovative produce solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in national sales leadership, preferably in produce, food distribution, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and fresh-cut produce solutions.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans while managing multiple accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Established relationships with major distributors and foodservice providers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Southern Regional Sales Manager, develop and execute a strategic national sales plan to drive revenue growth across wholesale, foodservice, and retail channels.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key distribution partners to expand The Fresh Group product lines in existing territories throughout the Midwest.
  • Strategically expand our market share by increasing freight utilization in existing routes through new business and existing customer penetration.
  • Lead contract negotiations with national distributors, ensuring long-term partnerships and favorable terms.
  • Champion the segment lines by educating distributors and customers on our quality, food safety benefits, shelf-life advantages, and value proposition.
  • Develop targeted sales initiatives to drive adoption of products in key industries, such as foodservice, healthcare, and institutional dining.
  • Work closely with marketing to create compelling sales materials, training programs, and campaigns tailored to the audience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for national distributors, ensuring seamless onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align production capabilities with distributor needs and customer demand.
  • Monitor distributor performance, identify opportunities for growth, and implement strategies to increase product penetration.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
  • Track sales performance metrics and adjust tactics to optimize growth.
  • Provide leadership with regular reports and insights on segments and overall national sales performance.
