About The Position

We are seeking a Nuclear Safety Basis Analyst to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear and non-nuclear risk and hazard analyses to ensure safe operation of nuclear and/or non-nuclear facilities.
• Conducts hazard identification for facilities and processes.
• Performs hazard analyses to evaluate potential risks.
• Determines facility hazard categorization.
• Conducts accident analysis to assess potential outcomes and consequences.
• Supports selection of controls to mitigate identified hazards.
• Develops and maintains associated Safety Basis documents, including: Un-Reviewed Safety Question (USQ) determinations Documented Safety Analyses (DSAs) Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs) Safety Assessment Documents (SADs) Facility Safety Plans Facility Safety Analyses
