Nurse Advanced Practice - Endocrinology
About The Position
Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications and treatments, provide patient and family education when caring for patients with various endocrinological disorders Ability to care for patients in both outpatient and inpatient setting Responsible for overseeing the care of a defined patient population as a dominant aspect of the role and is recognized as an interdisciplinary leader within his/her specialty. Responsible for enacting standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of advanced practice nursing as well as defined specially competencies.
Requirements
- Ability to care for patients in both outpatient and inpatient setting
- Adhere to healthcare and practice regulations and standards of professional performance
- Maintain clear and timely medical records (electronic medical record experience is preferred)
- Ability to work independently, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong ethical and professional standards
Nice To Haves
- Experience in providing care for the patients who use advanced diabetes technology like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors as well pregnant patients with diabetes
