About The Position

The Nurse Education and Special Projects Administrator will focus on community outreach, nurse engagement, clinical workflow process/throughput and nursing education. The incumbent will assist with special projects and initiatives for the nursing staff, overseeing clinical practice components of nurse education and training programs.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years in a clinical education and staff development role
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing Education or related field preferred
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of nursing staff, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
  • Conducts regular assessments to identify educational needs and competency gaps within the nursing team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, department managers, and administrative staff to ensure that initiatives align with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff, providing expert advice and guidance on best practices in nursing care.
  • Maintains accurate records of educational activities and evaluate program effectiveness through feedback surveys and other metrics.
  • Builds pipeline of prospective candidates through community networks and targeted outreach events.
  • Designs and implements strategic initiatives to improve the engagement of the nursing staff.
