About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A REGISTERED NURSE (RN) MANAGER! Your Work Matters How will you make a difference? The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit. Ensure a system is developed to provide continuity of care and patient communication. Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice. Implement program policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff. Ensure the program complies with Joint Commission, CMS, state and patients’ rights regulatory standards. Conduct and maintain records of monthly program meetings. Assign staff according to patient needs Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement. Develop staffing schedules for clinical service staff in accordance with patient needs. Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
  • Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Indiana State Board of Nursing as an RN
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications
  • CPR certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior, including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred
