About The Position

An established outpatient neurology practice in Sherman, Texas is seeking two Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to support a growing patient population across neurology and sleep medicine services . This role focuses on outpatient neurological care, chronic disease management, and sleep disorder follow-up in collaboration with neurologists. The Nurse Practitioner will manage patients with conditions including migraines, neuropathy, seizure disorders, Parkinson’s disease, and sleep-related disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea. This position is ideal for a provider who values continuity of care, structured clinic schedules, and collaborative specialty practice .

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas
  • Board Certification (FNP, AGNP, or Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner)
  • DEA registration or eligibility
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in neurology, internal medicine, pulmonology, or sleep medicine
  • Prior outpatient clinic experience
  • Familiarity with sleep studies and CPAP therapy management
  • Experience managing chronic neurological conditions

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient evaluation and management of neurological patients in collaboration with physicians
  • Manage follow-up visits for migraines, neuropathy, seizure disorders, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and chronic neurological conditions
  • Evaluate and manage sleep-related disorders including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, and CPAP therapy follow-up
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing including sleep studies, imaging, and laboratory work
  • Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and adjust therapies based on patient progress
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term disease management
  • Coordinate care with neurologists, sleep specialists, primary care providers, and therapy services
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Participate in procedural care including Botox therapy for migraine and movement disorders and intrathecal pump management (training provided)
