About The Position

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Midwife to join our practice full time in the Freeport, NY Long Island area. The incoming nurse practitioner/midwife must be compassionate, an excellent clinician, and someone who is experienced in women’s health or willing to learn gyn. We offer a variety of services within our multispecialty group, and the incoming Nurse practitioner/Midwife will be focusing on women’s health/gyn within the office for outpatient only. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Midwife program
Nurse Practitioner/Midwife license in NY
Women’s health experience or willingness to learn

Responsibilities

Patient exam/evaluations (physical exam, review pertinent medical history/records/imaging)
Annual wellness exam
Order/review diagnostic testing/labs/bloodwork
Perform Pap smears, preferred Colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, removal of IUD
Diagnosis and Treatment plan formulation
Patient education re: diagnosis, treatment plan options and lifestyle modifications
Treatments for acute and chronic conditions
Documentation- timely and accurate
Collaboration with the MDs and staff for comprehensive patient care
Make phone calls/emails as needed or required for patient care
Medication refills as needed
