About The Position

Bestica is seeking a Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics - to provide service in support of the Fort Drum MEDDAC Guthrie Ambulatory Clinic in Fort Drum, NY. Benefits and Details: Medical Vision Life Dental 10 Days PTO 11 Paid Holidays Amazing Work Environment Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with the exception of federal holidays. A 60-minute, unpaid lunch break is built into the existing work schedule.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program in the specialty of the position to be filled. The accrediting body must be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
  • Possess and Maintain Basic Life Support ,Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner shall have one year experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner within the last two years prior to contract execution.
  • Completion of a formal post-graduate certificate program in the relevant specialty (postmaster’s certificate programs).
  • National certification in specialty (i.e., certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or the ANCC).
  • Contract workers requiring licensure shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license specific to the position (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions)in one of the 50 US States and/or territories. Additional licenses held by a provider must be in good standing whether they are inactive, expired, or limit the provider’s practice to a military setting. The healthcare provider’s license(s) must remain current, valid, and unrestricted throughout the duration of the contract worker performance on the contract. The DHA PM 6025.13, vol 4, is the governing directive for all licensure, registration, and certification. Adherence to the outlined requirements within the DHAPM 6025.13, vol. 4, shall be met.
  • HCWs performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with all parties and other health care providers as determined by the MTF Commander or Contracting Officer’s Representative.
  • Shall possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that he/she can relate constructively to a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Each HCW shall demonstrate competency as required in the contract and as follows: The HCW shall possess basic computer skills and medical software knowledge. (Electronic Medical Records – GENESIS, Microsoft Office Products, Medical Readiness Tracking Applications, Workload Tracking Systems (DMHRSi) and others as mission dicates)
