Our Endocrinology specialty is a collaborative and patient-centered practice specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders. Our multidisciplinary team provides expert care for conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and hormonal imbalances, with a strong emphasis on individualized treatment plans and evidence-based medicine. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Endocrinology team. This role requires onsite presence at both our Lynn Medical Village and Peabody practices. Remote work options will only be considered, when necessary, based on patient access and business requirements. Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Requirements

• Master's Degree Nursing required
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN-NP - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
• 2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience

Nice To Haves

• 2-3 years of practice as an APP in Endocrinology preferred
• Clinical areas of expertise must include diabetes and ideally diabetes technology
• Some experience with managing thyroid and/or osteoporosis preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
