About The Position

Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin and be an active member of our cross-functional Cardiology team by working in the ambulatory and pre-procedure area with interventional and structural heart patients! We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: Synthesize and interpret data for patient care in various clinic settings. Manage pre and post procedural patients for interventional and structural heart patients, including H&Ps, consenting, admitting, rounding and facilitating discharges at University Hospital. Conduct independent ambulatory clinic visits seeing a sub-set of interventional and structural heart patient conditions including aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve disease, post-procedure patients and pre-operative risk stratification patients. Participate in multi-disciplinary care meetings for complex coronary interventions and structural heart cases. Requirements

  • If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
  • If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
  • If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Family; Gerontology.
  • If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.
  • All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of APP ambulatory experience.
