About The Position

The Remote Nocturnist NP manages acute care patient needs and coordinate admissions through virtual consultations. This role requires high autonomy, as you will evaluate symptoms, provide medical advice, and prescribe medications during off-peak hours.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active NP license in the state of practice; multi-state or compact licensure is highly preferred for remote roles.
• National certification (e.g., AGACNP, FNP) and active ACLS/BLS.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in hospitalist or acute care settings.
• Proficiency in telemedicine platforms and EHR systems; strong independent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Virtual Patient Management: Assess and manage acute conditions through secure video calls or messaging.
• Admissions & Consults: Manage and coordinate hospital admission consultations and cross-coverage for inpatient units.
• Clinical Orders: Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, enter prescriptions, and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
• Documentation: Maintain real-time documentation in the hospital’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Collaboration: Coordinate care with on-call physicians, specialist consultants, and facility staff for complex cases.
