The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services across the lifespan at the San Diego Community Health Center. The FNP, under appropriate direction and supervision by the Medical Director, practices in accordance with SDCHC policies, evidence-based guidelines, HRSA requirements, and all applicable California State and Federal laws. The FNP functions within the scope of practice as authorized for the RN pursuant to Business and Professions Code, Division 2, Chapter 6. The FNP functions within the scope of practice as specified in the Nursing Practice Act and as it applies to all Registered Nurses. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform all job-related activities as outlined below.
